This Mental Health Awareness week 2021 the theme is #ConnectWithNature, and we have been taking classes outdoors when we can - despite the rain! Prep 5 have been exploring nature around the campus, Form 1 reenacted the Battle of Hastings in their History lesson and 4B (Year 10) took 10 minutes at the end of their Science lesson to appreciate the peace and tranquility in our Outdoor Classroom. In Form 3 (Year 9) Maths, the pupils timed themselves travelling 100m and worked out their speed! Outdoor Education and Sport were taking place as usual, adding to the outdoor theme.

Our teachers and non-teaching staff also joined Mental Health First Aid England in their #MyWholeSelf campaign and have been sharing a selfie outdoors to #ConnectWithNature.

Class 2A (Year 8) have been working on 'Animal Farm' in their English lessons and all wrote a speech relating to the story. This powerful piece about 'The Power of Words' is an amalgamation of their thoughts and feelings.
