Today, on the last day of term, we said goodbye to Mrs Kirby, who is standing down as Head at Shebbear College to relocate to the Cotswolds, with her husband and three children.

Although she is still offially in post until the end of August this was the last time she will be at school with all the pupils and it was certainly an emotional day with lots of goodbyes and good luck messages passed on! After a moving Chapel Service, in which the Sanctuary team paid her a tribute and presented her with leaving gifts (she was determined not to cry but a few tears were shed!), she then oversaw a very noisy and exciting House Tug of War competition  - won by Thorne - before presenting the House Cup to Pollard, who were the overall winners across the year. 

We would like to wish Mrs Kirby all the best in the future, and thank her for everything she has done at Shebbear. We look forward to welcoming Mr Jenkins to the position of Head in September!
