Trips & Expeditions

We offer a number of enrichment trips within the UK and abroad. Recent destinations include Kenya and Poland and our biannual ski trip to Bormio in Italy is incredibly popular with around 50 pupils across the Senior School attending.

Exchange Programme

We are lucky enough to work closely with other schools from across the world to provide reciprocal exchange opportunities for our Sixth Form pupils. We link with Canberra Grammar School and Marist College in Australia as well as Kingswood College in South Africa, providing a life changing experience for all those involved. Our next exchange programme will take place in Summer 2024, and pupils can welcome their exchange partners back to Shebbear in the autumn.

Sports Tour

Older Senior School and Sixth Form pupils  have the opportunity to take part in our Sports Tour to various international destinations including Barbados & St Lucia, Sri Lanka, Dubai or South Africa. These tours run during the holidays for the school sports teams and provide pupils with an opportunity of a lifetime, combining training opportunities and matches against local sides with the chance to experience the local sights and culture. Our next Sports Tour is planned for summer 2025.

Camps International Expedition

Our Sixth Formers have the amazing opportunity to go on a four week expedition with Camps International during the summer holidays. In summer 2022 a group travelled to Kenya, living and working alongside local people and getting involved in a range of sustainable projects, from community development to environmental conservation. Our next expedition will take place in summer 2024 to Cambodia.
