Exchange Programme

We are delighted to work closely with other schools from across the world to be able to provide reciprocal exchange opportunities for male and female students each year. These exchanges offer a once in a lifetime experience for our students, and the quality and size of the exchange programme we offer is unmatched by other schools in the area. Our next exchange programme is taking place in summer 2024.

Students in Form 5 have the opportunity to spend a term in an Australian or South African school after their GCSEs with international students coming to Shebbear in the Michaelmas (autumn) term of the Lower Sixth. We link with Canberra Grammar School (male and female exchange) and Marist College (male only) in Australia as well as Kingswood College (male or female) in South Africa.

These exchanges are very popular with our students and timing the exchange as we do means that students can benefit from the opportunity to attend school in a different country over the summer, before starting their Sixth Form courses with us in September.
