We are conscious that investing in independent education is a big decision and we work hard to make sure that we offer the best value for money for families.
In 2023 we were ranked by The Telegraph as the most affordable independent school in Devon and Cornwall for weekly boarding.
All of our fees include snacks and meals.
Fees for the Academic Year 2023 – 2024
Effective September 2023
Boarding is available for children aged 8 and above.
Monthly payments are included in brackets.

Payment Options
Paying in advance
We offer the option to pay fees in full in advance. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
Paying monthly
Parents can also spread the cost of school fees by making monthly payments. This can be done in two ways:
- Direct Debit via external credit company, Orchard Funding. Please click here for more information and to apply for this service.
- Via a monthly payment plan directly to the school. For this option, fees can be paid to the school in monthly installments, but fees for each upcoming term must be paid in full before the term starts. Entrance Fees
On acceptance of a place at Shebbear College, a non-refundable fee of £150 is required with each application as well as a deposit, refundable upon the pupil’s departure from the school.
Deposits:
£500 for UK Day pupils
£1000 for Weekly Boarders, UK Full Boarders and Short Term Boarders.
£5000 for International Full Boarders.
School Buses
The cost of school transport is heavily subsidised by over 80% by the school, representing excellent value for money. The costs are:
£150 per term for journeys under 10 miles.
£200 per term for journeys over 10 miles.
Co-Curricular Activities
The majority of co-curricular clubs and activities are offered at no extra charge, with the exception of private music lessons, speech and drama, some sports coaching lessons and our 360@Sheb off-campus activities.
