Our Scholars' Masterclasses continue in the second half of this term, with our Music Scholars taking part in a composition workshop with award-winning Composer and Songwriter Oliver Spencer-Wortley.

Oliver, who studied composition at the Royal Academy of Music and Trinity College of Music and is also a director at record label Cove Records, spoke to the students about his experience and work and held an insightful Q & A session with lots of advice for students composing their own music. Everyone really enjoyed hearing about his compositions for BBC and Netflix series, films and video games including Call of Duty! 

He also spent some time with Upper Sixth students Toby and Issy, giving them 1:1 feedback on their A-Level compositions.

All Scholars at Shebbear College have the opportunity to attend  four area-specific masterclasses throughout the year,  as well as being part of the Scholars’ Dinner in the Trinity term, which celebrates the achievements of our pupils  throughout the year.
