Congratulations to our Sixth Form pupils who took part in the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Senior Maths Challenge earlier this month and have achieved awards.

Upper Sixth pupil, Niall, achieved a Gold Award, as well as being awarded the certificate for 'Best in School' and qualifying through to the next round - the Senior Kangaroo. A fantastic achievement! Fellow pupils Kamilla (not pictured), Charlotte, Christopher and Jack all gained Bronze Awards - well done!

The UKMT Challenges are some of the UK's most popular school Maths competitions, with over 700 000 entries each year. The Senior Challenge is a 90-minute, multiple-choice Challenge, encouraging mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems. The problems are designed to make students think and challenge themselves.
