Lockdown 2021 didn’t stop our Prep School children (and teachers) getting into the spirit and dressing up as their favourite book characters – whether they were in school as key worker children, or at home on screens.

We had some amazing costumes – including Peter Rabbit, Cruella De Ville, Gertrude the Gorilla (code name Bananas!), the BFG and, of course, Harry Potter! Everyone celebrated the joy of reading and books through various activities throughout the day.

As Prep School Head, Mr Foale, said, ‘World Book Day is always a really fun day at school, but this year everyone really got involved and although most of the children were at home, it had a really fantastic atmosphere!’
