Welcome to Shebbear College

Shebbear College is an independent UK co-educational day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 3 to 18, located in rural North Devon.

Our aim is to educate each pupil to achieve his or her potential by encouraging the highest possible standards of attainment and behaviour through a balanced, flexible and challenging curriculum. As a result our pupils consistently out-perform national trends.

By providing a supportive and nurturing environment, Shebbear develops a pupil’s sense of self worth, enthusiasm for learning and optimism for the future. We foster responsibility, tolerance, commitment and respect, both for the individual and for society.

What is life like for pupils at Shebbear College

Shebbear College is set in 85 acres of glorious Devon countryside and our pupils enjoy state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. They take part in a wide variety of activities on a daily or weekly basis. These include sports, the arts, music, pottery and ceramics, trips to theme parks, cinemas and theatres, paintballing, surfing, cycling, shopping trips and wildlife walks and many others.

Is it all about academic success?

We take great pride not only in our pupils’ academic successes but also in the well-rounded, caring and well-motivated young adults who have a clear knowledge of right and wrong and who are comfortable and confident in their surroundings.
