Open Day – Monday 4th May 2015
Held on Bank Holiday Monday 4th May between 10.00am and 4.00pm, our Open Day is a normal school day so you will see our school ‘in action’ and be able to chat informally to both teachers and pupils if you wish.
The Headmaster or a pupil will take you on a tour around the school, answering any questions you may have about life here. Refreshments will be available in the Headmaster’s study during which you will have the chance to have an informal chat with the him if you wish.
You are welcome to just drop in, but as Open Days are often very busy, we recommend that you book an appointment if you would like to meet the Headmaster.
Please contact our School Registrar, Naomi Giddy on 01409 282001 or email her at email@example.com to arrange your appointment.
We look forward to welcoming you to Shebbear College.
Shebbear College is an independent UK school offering co-educational day and boarding education for boys and girls aged 3 to 18, located in rural North Devon, England.
Shebbear College is one of the oldest schools in Devon and draws upon over one hundred and seventy years of history in shaping its values and outlook. Pupils are educated within an 85 acre site in one of the safest and most idyllic campuses in the UK. The school is known for its pastoral care and its relatively small size (350 pupils) means that each child is known and treated as an individual. The College has a unique sense of community centred upon Christian teaching, but whilst the school honours its illustrious past it has its sights set firmly on the future, embracing innovations in thought, technology and education.

By providing a supportive and nurturing environment, Shebbear develops a pupil’s sense of self worth, enthusiasm for learning and optimism for the future. We foster responsibility, tolerance, commitment and respect, both for the individual and for society. Set in a wonderful rural environment, the college has a unique sense of community.
Not far from Exeter City, Okehampton and Bideford, Shebbear College is easily accessible and offers transport assistance to and from main UK airports for our international pupils.
We believe traditional values strengthen an individual’s self-discipline and character providing an awareness of the world and others, equipping young people for their lives beyond Shebbear.
We take great pride not only in our pupils’ academic successes but also in the well-rounded, caring and well-motivated young adults who have a clear knowledge of right and wrong and who are comfortable and confident in their surroundings.
We invite you to come and see for yourself what makes Shebbear College so special. We will be delighted to show you around.
