🏉 HSBC National Schools Rugby 7s Tournament 🏉 Shebbear U16s played in the HSBC National Schools Rugby 7s Tournament on Tuesday. The key game was against Maidstone Grammar School, and in the final play of the match scores were level. Will made an excellent break, which looked to be the decisive try, but an excellent cover tackle and resulting turnover meant Maidstone snatched victory. Maidstone went on to win the group and play Sedbergh in the knockout phase, but had we held on, things may well have been very different. Our stand out performance was against Bae Bagon, a big school from Wales. The final score was 50-7 to us, and full video including commentary of this match can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAN5WwEEYmM&feature=player_embedded. The tournament was a fantastic event, and showed our boys how well matched we are with some of the best sides nationally. We look forward to returning next year with an U18 side and making the tournament a regular in our fixture list. Player of the tournament was Alessandro. #RPNS7s #RosslynPark #ShebbearCollegeRugby #HSBCNationalSchoolsRugby7s
