😊🤝 Kindness and Cream Teas 🍰☕ The children in our Pre-School and Prep School have had another very busy and varied week. Aside from lessons they have enjoyed a nature trip to Bridge Mill and a beach clean. Last Friday saw traditional cream teas on the lawn. Golden stickers and BAFTA (Behaviour Award For Thoughtful Actions) were awarded. In assembly they discussed kindness. In lessons history played a big part and on the sporting front there was a swimming gala, wakeboarding championships at the North Devon Wake Park and cricket and rounders fixtures against Kingsley School. *** International Summer School *** Our International Summer School visitors have enjoyed a wide range of activities over the last few days, including a fascinating trip to Morwellham Quay, where they learnt the art of rope making, discovered Victorian fashion, experienced what school was like in 1867 and explored the copper mines which once sustained industry in the area. A group went to Bude for a coastal walk and a well deserved ice cream and another group had a go at archery. They also visited Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre where they had a taster of fairground rides from the 1950s. Aside from the excursions, the summer school have been working hard in their intensive English lessons as well as attending timetabled lessons with their peers in the main Senior and Prep Schools. #ShebbearCollege #SummerSchool #MorwellhamQuay Bude" target = "_blank">#Bude #DinglesFairgroundHeritageCentre #lessons

*** Charity Planting for North Devon Hospice *** Students from our Lower Sixth volunteered for the North Devon Hospice on Wednesday at their Long House facility in Holsworthy. North Devon Hospice opened The Long House to offer a peaceful sanctuary for people who are affected by a life-limiting illness, enabling them to access more care and support but much closer to home than ever before. Students spent the afternoon planting bushes, shrubs and flowers to make a wonderful facility even more welcoming. They are pictured with a bank they transformed. Many thanks to all those who volunteered.
