It’s ‘Lockdown 2021’ and schools are closed for the second time. We are missing all of our wonderful pupils, but our well-received remote learning platform is up and running once again and we have already had some really positive feedback from pupils and parents.
“You are all so amazing. I really take my hat off to all teachers. I’ve done one day and I’m zonked! You help the children so much and watching them grow is magical, so thank you always.” (Prep School parent)
“Remote learning is going well at the moment, we are so lucky to have the teachers we have!” (Sixth Form pupil)
All of our pupils, from Pre-Prep up to Sixth Form, are following their normal timetable, registering in the morning and taking part in live lessons with all their subject teachers. As we did in 2020, we are also running a wide range of co-curricular clubs and activities, with options including Choir, Cookery, Art, D of E, Fitness & Wellbeing, Construction, Sketching, Origami, Photography, Outdoor Education, Pet’s Corner and Performance, among lots of others! Music and LAMDA lessons are running remotely and our House Challenges are in full flow!
We also have children of critical workers and some of our boarders in school this time around and so our blended learning programme is also on place, as well as boarders’ activities at the weekends. Our Prep School teachers are delivering their lessons from their classrooms with those in school attending in person and the rest of their class joining them remotely on-screen for the day.
Well done everyone – we hope to see you properly again soon!
