U9 Netball Girls

On a squally afternoon, the Under 9 netball squad braved the rain to play a home fixture against St. Joseph’s. The Shebbear girls started confidently and moved the ball freely around the court.

Lila-Mai played effectively as Goal Attack, moving quickly off to mark to ensure we maintained possessions after each centre pass. Dixie-Belle marked with fervour and helped to prevent the opponents from creating chances to score.

Delilah was a hard-working and assertive Centre. Wing players, Reem and Emma, supported well to ensure that we gained and maintained possession for the majority of the match. Phoebe and Lucy, who are Year 2 pupils, played with bravery and enthusiasm in their first scheduled fixture.

Thanks to Scarlett’s and Lila-Mai’s hard work in our attacking third, we won the game by a convincing margin of 7 – 0.

Player of the match went to Delilah.
