A Word from the Head of the Prep School

Jo ConwayPre-School, Prep School

The festive season has well and truly arrived in this final fortnight of term. The Pre-School and Pre-Prep Nativities took place this week, with the children taking to the stage in front of parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. The Pre-School performance was on Tuesday afternoon and Years 1 and 2 performed yesterday. All of the children did a wonderful job, acting, singing and dancing their way through the Nativity and ‘Hey Ewe!’ respectively – clearly enjoying every minute of it. Thank you to Mrs Thompson, Mrs Letheren, Miss Schnarr, Mrs Jones and Mrs Willis-Butcher for putting such enjoyable afternoons together.

Friday evening saw the Family Fun Evening take place in the Prep School. There were plenty of activities to entertain, with a quiz, balloon animal making, Lego, festive arts and crafts, the Year 3 challenge table, as well as the hot turkey rolls and mulled wine, served up by the PTA. A very enjoyable evening was had by everyone, and our thanks to all of the parents who helped on the evening, or by donating prizes for the raffle.

Our final House assemblies of the term took place this week, with themes including a road trip to America, Christmas traditions and a Christmas quiz. Well done again to Theo, Tom and Lydia for their hard work throughout the term.

There is plenty to look forward to next week, including the Christmas party, the Carol Service, the end of term celebration assembly, and of course…Christmas lunch.
