Our Year 6 children joined with Years 1 and 2 on Wednesday morning for their first buddy reading session of the term. These are very valuable sessions for the children, as they are able to spend time together choosing books to read and talk about. It certainly helps to strengthen the already excellent bonds between the age-groups and helps our oldest children to further develop their leadership skills. The children then went and had their lunch together.
In our celebration assembly this week, golden stickers were awarded to Indie, Max, Alfie and James. Our BAFTA (Behaviour Award for Thoughtful Actions) and Manners Medal were presented to Sam and Issy respectively. It has been particularly good to see Sam deliver some football coaching sessions to our younger children over the last couple of weeks, which is something he has stepped forward to offer. Many congratulations to all of these children.
