A Word from the Head of the Prep School

‘Moo’s Laughing Now?’‘A Weekend at Uncle Cleetus’sFarm’ and ‘Winter Soldiers of Alaska’ have been among the titles of our Year 6 stories read to Years 1 and 2 this week, as part of National Storytelling Week. The children read their creations with enthusiasm and expression, with their young audience enjoying listening.

Our Prep School assembly themes this week have included friendships and the power of touch. Is it the most powerful of all our senses? In Monday’s assembly, Tom also received rapturous applause for conquering his Morse code spelling challenge, which was a really outstanding effort.

Pre-School NSPCC Number Day, a variety of sport with St. Petroc’s, Kingsley and inter-House matches, and the continuation of drama production rehearsals and the chess tournament have all made this another very busy week in the Prep School.

Many congratulations to this week’s award winners: Oliver, Lara, Sonny, Reem, Issy and Ahmad. Our BAFTA and Manners Medal were won by Ahmad and Keira respectively.
