Jo ConwayPrep School

Our Prep School pupils have continued to develop their leadership skills this week, with Year 6 taking charge of their latest House assemblies. Arron, Tom and Lydia chose to talk about life in our galaxy and beyond, a general knowledge quiz and Janus from Roman mythology respectively, with them all doing an excellent job. Our pupils are also taking the lead this with term’s Chess tournament and next week sees the latest‘Learning Ambassadors’ session for Year 6 and Pre-Prep.

As well as these House assemblies, this week’s assembly programme included the Holocaust Memorial Day, marking among other events, the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.

On the sports pitches, congratulations to Ruddle for taking the victory in the U.9 inter-House mixed netball, ahead of Way and Thorne. The U.11 teams play next week.

The best of luck to our cross country runners competing in the final round of this season’s Gliddon and Squire League on Sunday morning at West Buckland School.
