A Word from the Head of the Prep School

Jo ConwayPre-School, Prep School

Our Prep School Carol Service was held in Lake Chapel on Tuesday afternoon and it proved to be a very uplifting and enjoyable event. The children did a super job with their singing and readings, as well as their short Nativity performance. Our thanks to Mrs Parker for preparing the children so well with their singing, and to Rev. Dr Susannah Metz, Team Vicar at St. Petroc’s Church Petrockstowe, for conducting the service.

We say a sad farewell to Miss Schnarr today, who has been an absolutely fantastic help in Pre-School this term, and we wish her every success for the future. Miss Summers-Lee, Mr Walsh and Miss Lee Vidal all return home to Australia this weekend and we will certainly miss them in the Prep School. Again, we wish them all the best for the future, which will doubtless be successful for each of them.

The final assembly of the term took place this morning, where we briefly looked back at some of the highlights of the term, as well as presenting some awards. Among these awards, there was recognition for academic achievement, the creative arts, sport and contribution to school life. Many congratulations to our award winners and to Ruddle for winning this term’s House Cup.

I hope you enjoy a restful holiday and we look forward to welcoming the children back in January, fighting fit for an exciting 2020.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.
