Our Senior School production of Sister Act has been hailed as one of our most feel‑good shows to date – a vibrant, joy‑filled celebration of music, comedy, and teamwork. After the dramatic intensity of West Side Story and Les Misérables in recent years, this year’s production brought a fresh burst of energy, leaving audiences laughing, clapping, and dancing in their seats.
At the heart of the show were our two exceptional leading ladies. Evie, starring as Deloris Van Cartier, delivered a stand‑out performance, carrying much of the production with outstanding confidence and skill. Alongside her, Yvie, who only joined the school in September, flourished in her role and impressed audiences with a stellar performance. Together, they formed a remarkable on‑stage partnership – their chemistry, sisterhood, and mutual support shining through both during the show and beyond the curtain call.
The supporting cast brought the production to life with humour, heart, and impeccable timing. The ensemble of nuns – Hattie, Rowan, Annabelle, Violet, Lucy and Billie – delivered performances full of character, warmth, and sharp comedic instinct. Their organisation and dedication, both on stage and during rehearsals, contributed to the show’s strong musical and dramatic impact.
In a brilliant contrast, Barney gave a superb performance as the show’s villain, supported by the hilarious trio of Rohan, Jack and Henry, whose scenes were enthusiastically received by every audience. Ethan shone as Eddie Souther, bringing his own comic flair to the role – including a now‑legendary costume change!
Alex was another standout, originally cast as the drag queen but stepping in as the bishop at short notice—a challenge he embraced with impressive confidence.
Our student tech team, led by Dylan and Louis, did an excellent job, despite significant setbacks during the week. Their determination and teamwork ensured every performance looked and sounded exceptional.
Thanks also go to the Performing Arts team of Mrs Sadler-Smith, Miss Ruhleman, Mrs Parker and Mr Pomroy – without whom the show wouldn’t have happened!
The result was a production bursting with joy, talent, teamwork, and school spirit – a show that will be remembered for years to come.
Huge congratulations to the entire cast, crew and creative team for delivering such a high‑energy, uplifting and unforgettable production of Sister Act.
