Earlier this week, our Lower Sixth Maths Team represented Shebbear College in the South West regional round of the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge, held at Blundell’s School.
The competition was a fantastic opportunity for our students to put their problem-solving skills to the test, tackling a series of demanding mathematical challenges against some of the best teams in the region.
Working collaboratively under time pressure, the team demonstrated resilience, logical thinking, and creativity – all essential qualities for success in advanced mathematics.
A huge well done to everyone involved for their hard work and enthusiasm throughout the event. Experiences like this not only stretch mathematical ability but also build confidence and teamwork skills that will serve our students well in the future.
