There’s no school quite like Shebbear College—and when it comes to end-of-term celebrations, we believe in going all out!
This term, we proudly launched House Day, a brand-new event on the school calendar, replacing our traditional House Walks. Organised by our incredible Heads of House (HsMs), the day brought together the entire Shebbear community—from Nursery to Sixth Form—for a spectacular celebration of teamwork, spirit, and fun.
The festivities began with an unforgettable fun run, packed with challenges and laughter at every turn. Pupils tackled a vibrant colour run, a thrilling slip & slide, hay bale hurdles, a muddy bog run, a water zone, dodgeball, a cargo net crawl, a group sack race, a tyre run, and of course—plenty of water pistols!
After drying off and refuelling with a delicious BBQ in the sunshine, the afternoon continued with a series of House Challenges, testing creativity, collaboration, and competitive spirit.
To top it all off, we wrapped up the day with our very own ShebStock Festival—a mini music fest featuring a live DJ set by student Joe, made possible by the support of Old Shebbearian legend, Cameron Mills.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our amazing Shebbear community—parents, friends, and Old Shebbearians—who generously provided equipment (tyres, bales, nets and more) and helped bring this incredible day to life.
House Day is here to stay—a new tradition that celebrates everything that makes Shebbear College so special.
