November 23rd 2024
Our NSEA teams have started the season with a bang, competing in their first two events at Pontispool and Bicton. It’s been fantastic to see both new riders and horses joining the team, all performing brilliantly. At Bicton, our 70 team (Isobel, Annabelle, and Zola) secured an impressive 2nd place, while our 90 team (Isobel, Anaya, and Neve) claimed victory, qualifying both teams for the championships at Hickstead next year.
Outside school, our riders have continued to shine. Nancy Carter, from Form 1, qualified for the British Dressage Quest Championships and enjoyed an amazing experience competing at Arena UK as part of a team with her pony.
Three of our students—Tichy, Neve, and Anaya—wrapped up their eventing seasons in style at the Bicton International Three-Day Event. All three performed exceptionally, finishing in the top 20 of highly competitive classes. Anaya delivered a stunning clear round in show jumping on the final day, earning her a 5th-place finish and a spot at the prestigious Badminton Grassroots Championships in May 2024. This is an outstanding achievement for Anaya and her horse Dunkie, and we look forward to cheering them on in their next chapter.
Adding to their success, the NSEA holds an annual points competition for British Eventing competitors. Tichy, Neve, and Anaya all achieved top rankings, with Tichy triumphing in the 100 points league and winning an NSEA rug for her horse Velvet.
None of this would be possible without the dedication of the parents, who give their time and energy for those early starts and long days. Your support makes these achievements a reality—thank you!
We’ll now enjoy a short break before gearing up for a busy spring schedule in the new year. Congratulations to all our riders on an brilliant start to the season!
