Sport Scholars and pupils on the Elite Sports Development Programme were joined by professional rugby player, Marine Biologist and former Head Girl here at Shebbear – Clara Nielson – recently for our first Sport Scholars’ Masterclass.
Clara spoke about the barriers she has overcome to get where she is now, from being the only female rugby player in the Prep School to playing for England and Ireland – with the underlying message of ‘Never give up!’
Pupils then worked in teams to talk about the barriers they face and develop their own personal goals for the short, medium and long term. A great session – thank you Clara!
