Senior Deputy Head (Residential)
To start: September 2020 or January 2021

The Senior Deputy Head is a prominent, visible presence in the college and will forge strong relationships with pupils, parents, staff and the wider community. The Senior Deputy Head will work with kindness, warmth and dynamism, but also with total clarity, relentless consistency and a refusal to accept anything other than the very highest of standards and excellence. Being able to run the organisational and operational side of the College and articulate the vision of Shebbear College and St Petroc’s is an integral part of the role of the Senior Deputy Head and would suit a candidate with significant academic, pastoral and boarding leadership and experiences.

Boarding HouseMaster/Mistress
To start: September 2020

We have an exciting opportunity to become a HouseMaster/HouseMistress of one of our Boarding Houses. We are looking to appoint an experienced, outgoing and enthusiastic HouseMaster/HouseMistress to lead and work with a dedicated pastoral and academic team. Boarding is at the heart of Shebbear College’s community and the HouseMaster/HouseMistress will be responsible for the boarding House and House boarding team. As well as supporting the boarders within school, a HouseMaster/HouseMistress at Shebbear College will represent the public face of boarding and will be actively involved in marketing boarding at Shebbear College during open events, tours of prospective parents and other promotional activities. Applicants will also be required to teach 32 lessons in any teaching discipline. Family self-contained accommodation is available all year round.
