Psychology is offered to those in the Sixth Form and follows the Edexcel syllabus and as such offers accreditation at A2 level.
The content of the course has been designed to capture and inspire the learner’s natural interest in psychology and highlights the links to modern life and the behaviour of others, which students find appealing. Psychology is taught to relatively small groups, between 10 and 4 students, and of whom the department has high expectations. Students are stretched, yet supported, to achieve a high level of understanding, confidence and application.
The department is well equipped and makes use of a variety of resources that includes interactive whiteboards, computer with internet provision and interactive text books. The department also benefits from access to ultra modern computer suites and a well stocked library.
