Year 6 visit Morwellham Quay

Good, better, best.
Never let it rest.
Until my good is better,
And my better best.

….and so the chant went on.

Year 6 spent Monday at Morwellham Quay, investigating all things Victorian, as part of their History curriculum. The children took part in a variety of workshops, including traditional rope making, a Victorian classroom and lesson, trying on costumes from the era and a train ride into the George and Charlotte Copper Mine. The discussion on corporal punishment from the time, was strangely very popular!
