Congratulations to Bethan in Form One who represented Bideford Blacks in an U14 Regional Handball Tournament this weekend in Bournemouth. Bethan’s defence work received a coach’s commendation being very tight and forcing the other teams to shoot from the 9 m area resulting in a low ‘shots/score ratio’.
A great block of Netball fixture was played on Saturday again Mount Kelly. Well done to the U12’s, U13’s and U14’s who all secured victories at home. Our 1st VII (pictured), 2nd VII and U15’s all had really close competitive matches at Mount Kelly and were unlucky to come away without any victories.
A mixed team from Years 5 and 6 spent Thursday afternoon at Kingsley, for a festival of football. On Wednesday 15th January Shebbear College pupils had the first golf lesson of the year, from the professional at Holsworthy Golf Club. In total 20 pupils managed to learn new skills and develop and improve existing golfing attributes . The afternoon was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
A home race this week, as Shebbear College was the host for the sixth race in this season’s league.
