On Remembrance Day, the Prep School gathered together for our Remembrance Assembly. Children from Reception to Year 6 listened to readings and poetry, as well as the roll of honour from Shebbearians who made the ultimate sacrifice in the two World Wars. They also heard the Last Post and observed the period of silence impeccably.
On Monday 11th November we held a very moving and thought-provoking Remembrance Service in Lake Chapel. Presided over by the Rev. During a Chapel service this week our new Head, Caroline Kirby, welcomed new pupils to the school followed by inspiring words from our Head Boy and Head Girl, Deputy Head and Assistant Head. The Sanctuary team were introduced and the Chaplain encouraged everyone to have a ‘glass half full’ attitude.
Well done to BTEC Creative Media student Katie, along with former pupil Rosie, who were the official Media Team for the 2019 Holsworthy and Stratton Agricultural Show this week. The girls spent the day photographing, filming and posting events, activities and attractions on the show’s social media channels to increase awareness and create a ‘buzz’ around the event.
