360@Sheb – Co-Curricular Activities
At Shebbear, we place a great emphasis on our varied and extensive 360@Sheb Co-Curricular programme, offering over 70 different clubs over the year for our pupils to choose from.
Launched in September 2023, our 360@Sheb programme focuses on developing the ‘Whole You’
through a wide range of co-curricular activities – both on and off campus. Aimed at building confidence, endurance, skill and enjoyment, the programme includes:
- The opportunity for off-site activities once a week
- A wide range of on-site clubs
- A sport-focused activities session for each year group
- A specialised Performing Arts activities session
- Environmental education sessions each week for Forms 1 & 2
360@Sheb is open to pupils from Prep 5 through to Upper Sixth.
Activities change each term but the opportunities are endless and there is always something to suit every pupil. From sports teams to music ensembles, Eco warriors, horse riding, surfing, swimming, water sports, drama clubs, film-making, cookery, pottery, Ten Tors, Duke of Edinburgh, coding and a long list of others, everyone is encouraged to join in!
Our activities are designed to broaden horizons and develop personal qualities such as leadership, confidence and tenacity, as well as learning new skills and developing interests.
Activities take place during the school day and are included as part of the timetable; the activities slot is largely just before lunchtime. Sports fixtures often take place in the evenings or at weekends and our boarders also enjoy a rich variety of activities and trips.
