Emerging Talent Awards
We are delighted to offer Emerging Talent Awards to junior school aged pupils currently in Year 2 and above who are interested in joining Shebbear College either during this academic year or in September 2026. These awards recognise exceptional academic ability or a genuine talent and passion for Sport or The Arts, and they remain in place throughout a pupil’s time in the Prep School.
At Shebbear, we are looking for young people who not only demonstrate aptitude in their chosen area, but who also show enthusiasm, positivity and a strong desire to learn. Applicants should embody our school values of curiosity, courage, confidence, creativity, compassion and courtesy, and demonstrate a commitment to developing their skills further.
An Emerging Talent Award marks the start of an exciting journey. As part of our Scholarships programme, we will nurture each pupil’s abilities, helping them to grow, explore and excel.
Awards include a reduction in school fees of up to 25%.

How to apply
After completing the application form below, applicants will first be invited to enjoy a Taster Day in our vibrant Prep School. Following this, they will attend an Assessment Day tailored to their area of talent. This may include:
- Auditions or formal assessments
- Informal observations
- An interview with Mrs Dennis (Head of Prep)
