11+ and 13+ Entrance Assessment

All Year 6 and Year 8 pupils thinking about joining Shebbear College next year are invited to join us for our 11+ and 13+ Entrance Assessment morning on Monday 18th November. This is part of the admissions process and will involve sitting an online entrance test.
When?

What?
All Year 6 pupils and Year 8 pupils thinking about joining Shebbear College next September are invited to join us for our 11+ and 13+ Entrance Assessment morning on Monday 18th November. This is part of the admissions process and will involve sitting an online entrance test, the CAT4 test.
The CAT4 is an assessment that is designed to help pupils and teachers understand how children learn and what their academic potential might be. Pupils cannot do any prior preparation or study for this type of assessment. We do not offer places based on the assessment, but it does help us to appropriately stream new pupils and support their move into the Senior School.
Children who join us must be able to access our mainstream curriculum and demonstrate our school values of compassion, courage, courtesy, curiosity, creativity and confidence in all that they do.
Who?
For all pupils currently in Year 6 or Year 8, who are thinking about joining Form 1 (Year 7) or Form 3 (Year 9) in September 2025.
