A word from the Head of the Prep School

Jo ConwayAchievements, Prep School

Dear Parents,

Our new Prep School House Captains took charge of their first House assemblies of the year this week, doing a superb job. They wrote their own assemblies and delivered some very interesting topics: protecting our oceans, the importance of reading and conquering the scourge of litter. Many congratulations to Theo, Lydia and Tom, who have all taken on their new roles with great enthusiasm and commitment.

During Tuesday’s assembly, we spoke about the importance of freedom and what it means to different people around the world. The thoughts and suggestions of our young children were extremely impressive. It was also an opportunity to present golden stickers to Katherine, Charlie, Emma, Reem, Harry (in his absence) and Arron. The BAFTA (Behaviour Award for Thoughtful Actions) was awarded to Ashton and the Manners Medal to Tom. Many congratulations to all of these children.

Harry, together with his trusty steed Billy, has been competing in the Horse of the Year Show at the NEC in Birmingham this week and we look forward to hearing his news next week.
