Pastoral Care in practice
Children are faced with an ever-changing amount of choices, trials and tribulations and so everyone at Shebbear College is involved in the day to day support to ensure a safe and happy environment.
We promote strong values and moral structures that under-pin the core essence of educating our young people. We recognise that by helping to develop emotional intelligence in all our students, it will assist them to becoming well-rounded members of our next society.
Through P.S.E. the children are educated in all the aspects of safe choices for themselves and others too.
The Pastoral team is a tight network that works hand in hand with the children to guide, support, counsel and understand their everyday needs. Close parental contact is also valued to create a united front, which enables the children to grow and develop at Shebbear College.
