Our Junior School offers a broad, balanced, relevant curriculum which includes coverage of the six areas of Learning and Development in the Early Years Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum Programmes of Study at Key Stage One and two. It is suited to all pupils across the full age and ability range and contributes effectively to children’s intellectual, physical and personal attainment and development, thereby preparing them well for the next stage of their education.

We also have an integrated Learning Support department within the Junior School that offers support for our children. This support is given in a variety of ways depending upon the individual’s needs; pupils may receive one to one assistance within the classroom, sometimes they can be withdrawn in small groups and they also have the opportunity for individual lessons.

We use a variety of programs including Wordshark, Numbershark, Starspell, Toe by Toe and The Power of Two to make their learning fun and rewarding.  Individual targets are set and reviewed weekly for all Learning Support pupils to ensure that the children can celebrate their achievements on a regular basis.
