Pupils at Shebbear College are offered a wealth of additional activities experiences which enrich the curriculum.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in a number of exciting and challenging extra-curricular activities after school, in the evenings, at weekends and also various trips within the UK and abroad.
The programme is designed to broaden horizons and develop not only interests but personal qualities such as leadership, confidence and tenacity. Given our wonderful location, close to both sea and moor, outdoor pursuits are extremely popular.
On Monday – Thursday each week at 4.00pm pupils take part in their choice of activities which include games, challenges, clubs, sports, art, craft, media, music, science projects, archery, wildlife studies and gardening to name just a few. In fact, most subjects have an activity or the time can be used for study or prep. Among the many other extra-curricular activities on offer are involvement in business projects such as Viridian Fuels Ltd and worthy projects such as World Aims, Eco-Schools and Fairtrade, charity work in Uganda, sports trips to Barbados and participation in numerous charity events.
Shebbear College is an independent UK school, a co-educational day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 3 to 18, located in rural North Devon.
