Many years experience in child welfare, therapeutic counselling and boarding education, has shown us how to give our boarders every opportunity to be the very best young citizens they can be. We teach them pride in their own identity, despite problems that may occur throughout their lives.

Life at Shebbear is tranquil, calm and comforting, surrounded as we are by the natural beauty of our countryside with its open fields where the boarders can run, laugh and play in a traditional way.

The same sense of tradition applies to our ethos of moral and Christian values: respect and empathy for the whole community  is ingrained in the structures that we hold strong, giving our pupils a solid foundation on which to build the rest of their lives.

We know we have made a difference when our boarders step out into the world as cultured , independent and responsible people with the world at their feet.

We know because they keep in touch and even return to stay for weekends!
