Welcome to the International Students’ section of Shebbear College.  We value our International Students highly and do our best to make them feel ‘at home’ here while helping them achieve their academic goals, whether it is getting a place at a good university or passing GCSEs or GCE A levels examinations all our International Students benefit both academically and socially from participating in our English environment.

We enjoy and appreciate the contact with other cultures and their lifestyle experiences  they  share with their fellow students.

Shebbear College has been granted a HIGHLY TRUSTED SPONSOR LICENCE by the
UK Border Agency. The UK Border Agency considers applications for visas to study
in the UK.

Travel

A coach for students, accompanied by a member of staff, travels from London’s Heathrow Airport at
the beginning of each term and returns at the end of each term. Please contact the Registrar for further
details and times of depature.
The School office staff are happy to help students with the booking of Taxis, Trains and Buses within
the U.K.

Guardians

We are able to facilitate introductions to local families who will act as guardians for pupils who
require accommodation during the half term exeats.

To the student

Studying in a different country is a brave and exciting step. We will make life easier for you in the
first weeks and after, explaining everything you need to know to make your time here happy and
successful.
Many of our staff have themselves lived and worked overseas and can help you with any concerns and
worries you may have.
